ABOUT ME
Most recently I was a Creative Director at The & Partnership, working primarily on Toyota and Lexus Europe.
In 4 years I was been responsible for creating multiple, multi-channel European and global campaigns for Toyota and won three pitches for Audible, Salesforce and Kinto Mobility.
I also lead a distributed team for NatWest Business across the UK.
On Toyota I worked with Emmy award-winning director Jake Scott and Top Gear director Nigel Simpkiss, bringing craft and creativity to the Toyota brand in multi-channel, modular campaigns.
Previously I was a Global Creative Director at Spark44. I was there from the start: Twelve of us in a rented room buying our own layout pads and dreaming of resurrecting Britain’s iconic Jaguar brand.
Eight years later Spark44 was a global network of twenty offices and a thousand people. And I like to think the ten global advertising campaigns I jointly created went some way to help that incredible growth.
We created advertising that made JLR famous. And helped grow the JLR business in five years from 250,000 to 650,000 annual sales in 2018.
And my work won numerous awards along the way, including three British Arrows, two EFFIE'S, a Cannes Lions Finalist, Campaign Big Awards, Shots and an Epica.
From Superbowl spots with Hollywood actors and working with directors including Tom Hooper, Martin Campbell, Matthew Vaughn and Sam Brown, we created everything from long-form documentaries, TVCs, content films, website experiences, print, digital, retail and even eDMs. That’s the Spark44 model that broke industry convention with its unique multi-channel, joint venture partnership.
The opportunity to be involved with Spark44’s unique proposition came about from my rare combination of integrated experience, having worked at agencies including Cheil, Publicis, Grey, DLKW, DDB, SaatchiX, VML, AMP and Sapient Nitro:
At Cheil, I created integrated and retail campaigns for Samsung.
At Grey, I was responsible for a Nokia worldwide phone launch campaign, as well as the Lenor and Piriton business in the UK.
At DLKW, I helped win £50m of new business, including Vauxhall Astra, DVLA, DFES and Birmingham Midshires accounts and was responsible for launching eBay in the UK with a multi-channel, award-winning campaign.
Previously I launched a media-focused integrated agency called Virtual Circle. It was 360 thinking that was a little before its time.
And before that, back in the last century, I learnt my copywriting craft with the MadMen at DMB&B and BMPDDB.
It’s been an amazing ride transforming brands and businesses.
